私たちは、物語に没入する瞬間、日常の現実を超えた世界に足を踏み入れることがあります。映画を観て涙すること、RPGで主人公になりきること、バロック絵画の荘厳な世界に没頭すること、あるいは自分自身の人生に夢中になること――これらの体験には共通する瞬間があります。それは、物語やイメージに深く関わる瞬間です。その中で、ささやかな兆しや一瞬のヒント、心に静かに響く意味を見出すこともあります。
私の作品では、光と影が交錯する空間に幼いヒーローやヒロインを配置し、異なる時代や文化が交わる舞台を描きます。これにより、鑑賞者が自身の内面にある物語や経験に触れる余白を生み出したいと考えています。既知の神話や元型に新たな視点を加えることで、普遍的な物語の構造や心理を再発見し、文化や時代を超えたつながりを探求しています。
現代では、国や時代を超えた物語が交錯し、遠くの文化も身近に感じられるようになっています。私はこのような文化の交差やねじれを作品に取り込み、鑑賞者が想像し、考え、自己と出会う場を提供したいと考えています。バロック絵画の重厚な物語世界、RPG的な没入体験、そして個人が自分の人生に夢中になる心理――これらを重ね合わせることで、作品が鑑賞者との共創の場として開かれることを意図しています。
私にとって、絵画制作は単なる表現手段ではなく、探究と発見の場です。創作の過程そのものが作品の一部となり、鑑賞者と私の好奇心をつなぐ媒介として働きます。物語、イメージ、文化の響きを重ねることで、鑑賞者が自身の人生や感情の中にある光や影、そして物語を感じ取り、新たな自己と出会う空間を提供できればと願っています。

The moment we lose ourselves in a story, we step into a world that reaches beyond everyday reality. Whether moved to tears by a film, embodying the hero of an RPG, surrendering to the grandeur of a Baroque painting, or becoming absorbed in the unfolding drama of our own lives—these experiences share a common thread: a deep immersion in narrative and image. In such moments, we sometimes glimpse subtle signs, fleeting hints, or quiet resonances that echo within the heart.
In my work, I place young heroes and heroines within spaces where light and shadow converge, staging encounters between different times and cultures. In doing so, I seek to leave room for viewers to find their own narratives and experiences reflected back to them. By bringing new perspectives to familiar myths and archetypes, I explore universal narrative structures and psychological patterns, searching for connections that transcend culture and era.
Today, stories flow across national and temporal borders, bringing distant cultures into intimate proximity. I weave these crossings and distortions of culture into my paintings, with the aim of creating spaces where viewers can imagine, reflect, and encounter themselves anew. By layering the weight of Baroque narrative worlds, the immersive experiences of RPGs, and the psychology of being absorbed in one’s own life, I intend my works to unfold as sites of co-creation with the viewer.
For me, painting is not merely a vehicle of expression, but a place of inquiry and discovery. The process of creation itself becomes part of the work, serving as a medium that connects my curiosity with that of the viewer. Through the layering of narrative, image, and cultural resonance, I hope to offer spaces where viewers may sense the light and shadow—and the stories—within their own lives and emotions, and in doing so, encounter new facets of themselves.
